Terms and Conditions and Returns Policy

Customers are asked to carefully read our terms and conditions below

These Terms and Conditions of Sale (“the Terms”) apply to all orders and contracts for the sale or supply of goods or services between Verona Couture Bridal Boutique (“the Seller” or, where applicable, “Us”, “We” or “Our”) and a purchaser of goods and services (“the Purchaser” or, where applicable, “You” or “Your”).

By ordering, placing a deposit for, or purchasing goods and services from the Seller you agree to be bound by these Terms.

Payment of order

Due to the bespoke nature of the goods sold by Verona Couture Bridal Boutique, Customers are required to pay a 50% NON- REFUNDABLE deposit on the date of ordering all bridal gowns and accessories, the remaining balance must be paid in line with the FINAL PAYMENT conditions set out below. The deposit can be paid by either bank transfer or debit/credit card or cash.

No goods may be removed from the premises until full payment of the order has been fulfilled.


Goods ordered that are not available from stock take approximately 20 weeks for delivery, unless a specific time limit is stated in writing on this order. Gowns requiring extra length or special measures are subject to a surcharge, carried forward to the customer. This surcharge will be added to the cost of the goods above. ALL GOWNS REMAIN THE PROPERTY OF Verona Couture UNTIL PAID FOR IN FULL. Customers should retain their sales contracts and any receipts as proof of purchase and be sure to have read the TERMS AND CONDITIONS NOTICE and fully understand its requirements. Verona Couture has such terms to protect its business regardless of your circumstances.


ALL ITEMS PURCHASED ARE NON-RETURNABLE/REFUNDABLE. If the purchaser wishes to cancel the order, they will need to inform the Seller in writing as soon as possible. The Purchaser is liable to pay the full amount and remaining balance of the gown or lose any monies paid to that date including the 50% deposit. Dress orders will still have to be paid for in FULL if the wedding is cancelled for whatever reason, costs will still be incurred to the suppliers and to Verona Couture Bridal Boutique regardless of any circumstance.

Sale Items

Sale items may be sample dresses that have been displayed on the premises, and as such may not be in perfect condition. The Purchaser should check that any sale items are of satisfactory quality for their requirements. The Seller makes no guarantee that visible marks or stains can be removed by cleaning. Sale items must be paid for in full and collected at the time they are ordered.

Sale gowns / accessories brought cannot be returned or any monies refunded, they are sold as seen. Any items which require cleaning or seamstress attention are the responsibility of the Purchaser. For reasons of hygiene all accessories tiaras, hair slides, veils, jewellery, fascinators & hats which have been removed from the premises once paid for cannot be refunded or exchanged.

Final payment

A final payment of the balance of the purchase price of any order, minus any deposit already paid, must be paid upon request by Verona Couture. This will be when the product is ready for dispatch by the designer (timeframe varies by designer). In the event that the Purchaser fails to pay the full purchase price in accordance to the terms and conditions, the Seller is entitled to resell the goods after a period of one month from notification that the items have arrived with in store. The Seller will notify the Purchaser when the order has arrived in store and is ready for collection / try on within 3 working days of receipt. The Purchaser will not be entitled to collect or take delivery of the order, or to make any external alterations to the order, until the Final Payment has been made.


Gowns are not made to measure; they are ordered in standard sizes, please be aware that gowns sizes are different to that of high street sizes.

GOWNS ARE MADE TO ORDER AND ARE NOT MADE TO MEASURE. Bought-in gowns are purchased on size only, based on the largest of bust, waist or hip measurements and agreed with the customer. It is usual that some alterations are required. Exact colours and shades on fabrics and designs on trim, including lace, cannot always be guaranteed. If a customer insists on a fit tighter than recommended, we will not be responsible. Equally, after the sales order contract has been signed and the order placed Verona Couture Bridal Boutique CANNOT AND WILL NOT accept any responsibility for gowns not fitting when collected due to the customers increase or decrease in weight or any other reason beyond our control.


THE PRICE OF GARMENTS EXCLUDE ALL COSTS IN RESPECT TO FITTING WORK. The Seller does not carry out alterations but will recommend the services of seamstresses. Seamstresses or alteration specialists are not employed by the Seller and are not agents of the Seller. Verona Couture Bridal Boutique offers fitting and alteration services but these are carried out by independent couture seamstresses that are experienced and competent. All alterations are separate to the gown price and will be quoted on an individual basis.

Any claims or complaints regarding fittings, should be directed towards your seamstress and not Verona Couture Bridal Boutique as they are separate businesses. Fittings and alteration works may be carried out elsewhere if required, customers are not obliged to use the services provided by Verona Couture Bridal Boutique, however a storage charge of £10 per month for all dresses not altered by Verona Couture recommended seamstresses but kept on the premises of Verona Couture. This includes retrospective charges for those dresses agreed to be altered onsite but not followed through. The Seller undertakes and accepts no responsibility or liability whatsoever in respect of the performance of alterations by, or the Seller’s recommendations in respect of, such Seamstresses or alterations specialists. Any disputes, questions or queries that arise in respect of alterations must be resolved between the Purchaser and the Seamstress or alterations specialist. No external alterations may be made to any orders until the Purchaser has cleared the balance of the account.


The cleaning of garments ordered by the Purchaser will be at the sole risk of the Purchaser. The Seller undertakes and accepts no responsibility for the actions or omissions of any other person in respect of any cleaning services that the Seller recommends.

Description, Designs and Swatches

Every care is taken by the Seller to ensure that your order matches the swatch of fabric or imagery of fabric or design that you have seen. However, some variation can nevertheless occur. All designers reserve the right to modify their designs from the imagery or samples they have provided to the Seller. Any such variation is beyond the control of the Seller and the Seller does not undertake or accept any liability in respect of such variation. Should such variation occur, as much notice as possible will be given to the Purchaser.

Sample dresses only provide a guide as to colour, therefore whilst every effort is made to match materials and trims with the sample, the Seller cannot guarantee identical matches in all cases. The Seller will not be liable for any defects or discrepancies found by the Purchaser after the Purchaser has collected the order and removed it from the Seller’s premises.

Delivery / Removal of Bridal Gown from the Boutique

Delivery and collection dates given by the Seller are given for guidance only and are not binding upon the Seller. Whilst the Seller will endeavour to ensure goods are available for collection by the date given on the order form, they do not accept responsibility for late delivery caused by any circumstances beyond their control, including but not limited to postal delays or actions of the Seller’s suppliers. Delivery to the Purchaser shall take place when the Purchaser collects the order from the Seller’s premises. Risk in the goods comprising any order shall pass to the Purchaser on delivery. Title to the goods comprising any order shall not pass to the Purchaser until the Final Payment in respect of the order has been made in full.

Before the Purchaser collects any goods and removes them from the Seller’s premises, the Purchaser must satisfy themselves as to the condition of the goods and inform the Seller of any defects or discrepancies. The Seller will not be liable, whether in contract or in tort or otherwise, for any indirect, consequential or special damages or losses of whatsoever nature or howsoever caused, whether related to the supply of the goods or their use or not.

Due to the delicate nature of the goods, the seller cannot be held responsible or liable for any damage incurred after collection, during or after the wedding or whilst the dress is in storage. When gowns are removed from Verona Couture Bridal Boutique it is recommended that the goods are kept out of direct sunlight for storage and are not packed tightly, alleviating the risk of pressure marks, and keeping embellishments and other alike details intact. Storage boxes are available for purchase from Verona Couture Bridal Boutique to aid in the preservation of your gown.

Non-Collection of Gods

If customers do not collect their goods within 3 months of the wedding date or are not in written contact with Verona Couture Bridal Boutique then the contract will be deemed cancelled without any further notification and any monies paid will not be refunded. Gowns will be put into the shops stock to be re-sold.


Should the Verona Couture Bridal Boutique breach its obligations under this agreement, its liability is limited to any direct loss incurred by the customer arising from such breach. Verona Couture Bridal Boutique will not be liable for any breaches caused by circumstances outside Verona Couture Bridal Boutique’s control, including, but not restricted to acts of god, war, riot, terrorism, malicious damage, fire, flood or storm.
